Short-Term Missions Application 2023
Thank you for your willingness to be sent out in the Lord's service as part of a short-term mission team!

For 2023 the following missionaries have expressed a need for STM support:

Chris & Patti Allinger (Utah, spring or summer) - Can accommodate a team of 3-4 to help with door to door evangelism/church awareness campaign

Matt & Barb Douglas (Australia, April 8th-9th) - looking for music ministry support team for Easter outreach

Pablo & Fiorella Ramirez (Argentina, flexible dates) - looking for a team of 3-4 who can come for one week to support their ministry by helping with building repairs, sports or craft activities with children/teens and participate in a variety of other outreaches

A & J Hong (Kyrgyzstan) - teach English to high school/college students at Language Center

John & Becky Knox (Japan) - team to help at camp and teach English classes

Mei-Mei Lee (Macau, December 11th-17th 2023) - team of 4-8 Cantonese speakers (or those who speak a little Cantonese) needed to do Christmas story times at local preschools and other evangelistic events

Weymann Lee (Training Leaders International) - seminary trained volunteers welcome to join STM to train pastors

Ravoahangy Family (Madagascar, May/June 2023) - requesting “IT STM,” help setting up the AV/IT system/cabling for the preaching institute

1) Application Process:  
- Submit application
- Vetting/interview process and attend info session with Pastor Ray

2) In preparation for the trip:
- Secure passport, plane tickets, visa, accommodations
- Attend team planning meetings
- Outline budget, fundraise individually and as a group
- Obtain health coverage/any necessary immunizations/health clearance for travel
- Pack, collect supplies for missionaries
- Share prayer requests with church body

3) After returning:
- Report back to SFBC
- Finance committee to disburse love offering funds (short-term missionaries shall be limited to one half of total expenses upon the recommendation of the Mission Support Team and approval of the Elder Board)
